Convertus is looking for a Process Technician (Anaerobic Digestion) for York!

Your Mission

As a Process Technician, you’ll be at the heart of transforming organic waste into renewable energy. You’ll work hands-on with cutting-edge technology, monitoring and optimizing biological and mechanical processes that produce biogas and nutrient-rich digestate.

Here’s what an ordinary day of work might look like:

- Monitoring anaerobic digestion processes on-site and through SCADA systems
- Collecting and analyzing samples (feedstock, digestate, biogas) to support process performance
- Adjusting inputs and dosing to optimize biological efficiency
- Troubleshooting process issues in collaboration with operations and maintenance teams
- Performing routine inspections and light preventative maintenance
- Supporting repairs by initiating work orders and coordinating with maintenance
- Maintaining accurate records of process data and operational performance
- Safely clearing blockages and keeping equipment clean and functional
- Participating in shift handovers, team meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Championing safety through daily toolbox talks and proactive hazard reporting.

- Have a diploma or degree in science, engineering, or a related technical field
- Bring 1–3 years of experience in plant operations or a similar environment
- Have a basic understanding of biology, chemistry, or industrial processes
- Are comfortable using technology,



including data entry and control systems like SCADA
- Enjoy solving problems and figuring out how things work
- Don’t mind getting your hands dirty and working in an industrial environment
- Are physically active and able to lift up to 25 kg when needed
- Thrive in a team setting and communicate clearly
- Care about safety: for yourself and your teammates
- Are fluent in English
- Have a Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with reliable transportation
- Are able to work on-site where noise, odours, and bio-materials may be present.

Shift: Afternoon Shift, 2:00PM - 10:30PM - Monday-Friday, on call shifts may be required.

Compensation package:

- Hourly Rate – $63,120.00 - $78,900.00/year CAD

About the salary range: A reasonable estimate of the pay rate is $63,120.00 - $78,900.00/ year CAD at the time of this posting.
