Job Summary

Front and Centre Bakery is a growing nut-free bakery in Newburgh, Ontario. We are looking for a dependable Production Baker to help prepare our cookies, breads, cinnamon buns, butter tarts, pies and other baked goods.

This is a hands-on production role in a small bakery. The successful candidate must be comfortable working early mornings and weekends.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and bake cookies, breads, cinnamon buns, butter tarts, pies and other bakery products
- Accurately weigh ingredients and follow established recipes
- Mix doughs and batters using commercial mixers
- Portion, shape, proof and bake products consistently
- Monitor baking times, temperatures and finished-product quality
- Package and label products for retail and wholesale orders
- Organize ingredients and notify management when supplies are running low
- Follow strict nut-free facility, allergen-control and food-safety procedures
- Wash equipment and maintain a clean, organized production area
- Work independently while coordinating production with the bakery team
- Assist with seasonal and new products as required

Qualifications
- Previous commercial baking,



bakery production or professional-kitchen experience is preferred
- Comfortable using commercial mixers, convection ovens and other bakery equipment
- Able to follow recipes accurately and produce consistent results
- Dependable, organized and able to work independently
- Robust attention to cleanliness, food safety and allergen controls
- Able to stand for extended periods and safely lift up to 50 pounds
- Available for early-morning and weekend shifts
- Food Handler Certification is an asset

Front and Centre Bakery is a dedicated nut-free facility. Following our allergen-control procedures is an essential requirement of this position. Pay: $21.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 28.0 – 34.0 per week
