RMP Welding is looking for an experienced and motivated Estimator to join our growing team.We are seeking someone who understands the welding, fabrication, millwright, and industrial construction industries and can confidently prepare accurate, competitive estimates for a variety of projects.

Key Responsibilities

● Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and tender documents

● Prepare detailed labour, material, equipment, subcontractor, and project cost estimates

● Complete material take-offs and obtain supplier/subcontractor pricing

● Prepare and submit quotations and tender packages

● Communicate with customers, suppliers, subcontractors, and project managers

● Identify project requirements, potential challenges, and cost considerations

● Track estimates, revisions, change orders, and project documentation

● Maintain organized and accurate estimating records

● Work closely with management and field personnel to ensure estimates reflect actual project requirements

Qualifications The ideal candidate will have:

● Previous estimating experience in welding, fabrication, millwright, mechanical, construction, or a related industrial field

● Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications

● Knowledge of welding, structural steel, fabrication, millwright,



and industrial installation practices

● Solid mathematical and analytical skills

● Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

● Strong written and verbal communication

● Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines

● Experience with Microsoft Office and estimating/project management software

● A practical understanding of labour requirements, material costs, equipment, and project timelines

Experience in the welding and millwright industry is considered a strong asset.
