Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Project Manager and Quality Assurance individual to join our team at Northwest Enclosures, a fast-growing company. This role is key for our recent expansion to the Eastern part of Canada, with a new facility located in Bolton, Ontario. With support from colleagues in our Abbotsford location, the PM/QA individual will be responsible for supporting our production to remain on schedule and that our high quality standards are applied to all enclosures produced at our Bolton facility.

Responsibilities

Project Management (Operations & Delivery)

- Contract Review: Analyze fabrication drawings and specifications to estimate costs, track labour hours, and delivery schedules.
- Planning & Scheduling: Create and track look-ahead schedules, work with the operations team to allocate welders/fabricators, and manage material procurement
- Progress Tracking: Participate in production meetings, monitor manufacturing bottlenecks, and report on milestones
- Client Liaison: Act as a single point of contact for customer updates, build progress and QA discussions

Quality Assurance & Welding Inspection (Compliance)

- WPS & Welder Qualifications: Review Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), and track/maintain the staff CWB registrations/logs.
- Pre-Weld Inspection: Perform fit-up checks, verify joint preparation, root gap, and material traceability (e.g., heat numbers, Material Test Certificates).
- In-Process Surveillance: Monitor welding parameters, preheat/interpass temperatures,



and consumable controls during production.
- NDT & Post-Weld Oversight: Coordinate Non-Destructive Testing (RT, UT, MPI, DPI) and sentence radiographs or inspection reports.
- Non-Conformance Management: Raise, track, and close out Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), executing root cause analysis for weld defects.
- Documentation & Handover: Compile, verify, and sign off on final Manufacturing Record Books (MRBs) and Data Dossiers before client handover.
- Adhere to safety standards and procedures with continuously changing working environments

Qualifications

- Extensive experience with industrial welding and CWB requirements. Prior welding or weld inspector experience considered an asset
- 3 years of project management and QA experience in an industrial setting
- Experience with blueprint reading and proficiency with weld gauges/calipers, paint inspection tools, and other QA equipment
- Effective organization and communication skills with coworkers in both verbal and written forms
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple projects efficiently
- Ideal to have a basic understanding in Generator / Electrical House industry

Work Location & Hours:

In person for 40hrs a week at 151 Parr Blvd, Bolton, Ontario. Shifts will be Monday-Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm. Overtime may be available.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $32.00-$45.00 per hour
