5-8 years of experience project managing electronic health-related projects, ideally deploying clinical software systems

5-8 years of experience with Project Management concepts including goals, risk, scope, roles, planning, scheduling and quality management

2-4 years of knowledge and/or experience with medication workflows and associated business processes within pharmacies, hospitals and health records

Solid stakeholder engagement, communication, collaboration and conflict-resolution skills

PMP certification and knowledge of the PMBOK; experience with project management tools and Waterfall/Agile delivery methodologies

Background Information

Patients Before Paperwork (Pb4P) focuses on improving existing clinical workflows by modernizing approaches to care delivery and better connecting patients and providers to Ontario’s digital infrastructure. The ePrescribing portfolio aims to streamline medication management by enabling secure, direct transmission of prescriptions from clinicians to pharmacies, reducing manual steps and errors.

Key Responsibilities





Oversee projects and workstreams related to the development and deployment of an ePrescribing solution

Develop and manage the Integrated Project Plan and project go-live schedules by workstream

Manage project portfolio activities, stakeholders, vendors and client engagement

Identify, track and manage project risks, issues and service change requests

Contribute to program governance and advisory committees

Provide deployment reporting and tracking to support successful and on-time delivery

Ensure project documentation, milestones and knowledge transfer are completed and shared with the Ontario Health team

Required Skills

5-8 years of electronic health project management experience, ideally involving clinical software deployment

5-8 years of applied Project Management knowledge including scope, risk, planning, scheduling and quality management

4-5 years of knowledge and/or experience with medication workflows and business processes across pharmacies, hospitals and health records

Experience with health system business requirements definition, implementation and deployment projects

Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, active listening, stakeholder engagement and conflict-resolution skills

Demonstrated experience managing projects in matrix organizational environments

PMP certification and knowledge of PMI PMBOK

Experience with project management software such as MS Project and MS Teams, and delivery methodologies including Waterfall and Agile

Applied knowledge of privacy policies and legislation including HPPA, FIPPA and PHIPA

Public sector experience is preferred. Candidates must understand and be able to meet the hybrid onsite requirement.
