What you will be doing!

- Managing the delivery of low- to medium-risk EMED projects while meeting schedule, cost, quality, and safety objectives to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Planning projects, developing budgets, and allocating resources through collaboration with clients to define project scope, deliverables, and timelines.
- Leading up to 15 projects annually, with portfolios ranging from $1M to $5M over a 1-to-3-year horizon.
- Assembling and coordinating project teams, including engaging project planning coordinators to develop cost estimates and work package breakdowns.
- Monitoring, managing, and reporting project performance to clients, management, and key stakeholders.
- Leading the achievement of project objectives by setting performance expectations, guiding team members, and driving accountability.
- Establishing and managing project budgets and schedules while approving scope changes in accordance with project management guidelines.
- Delivering professional presentations to internal and external audiences, including senior stakeholders.
- Negotiating with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and to quality expectations.
- Managing client relationships by maintaining clear communication, reporting project progress, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Other duties as assigned by your manager.

What We Are Looking For

- Education
- Bachelor (honours) in Engineering or Science from a university of recognized standing, OR membership in an Engineering or scientific skilled organization authorized by statute to establish qualification for membership in that organization, OR an alternative qualification is a certificate from the Project Management Institute (PMI).

- Experience

- 1-2 years of progressive experience and resulting knowledge of applying the "9 Project Management Areas":Scope, Cost, Time, QA, Communications, Human Resources, Risk, Procurement, and Integration, to medium-risk projects.





- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

- Ability to understand project dynamics, identify and remove potential hurdles and roadblocks, communicate with team members and customers and be generally motivated to deliver work on time and on schedule.
- Ability to build nurture, and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with a moderate number of internal and some external contacts.
- Ability to understand project technical details and communicate project status concisely.
- Thorough knowledge of business and management principles involved in project planning, budgeting and resource allocation, leadership techniques, and resource coordination.
- Knowledge of procurement and financial processes.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Applications (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access and Outlook).
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience applying negotiation skills.
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience in application of contract administration and Research & Development, and oversight to effectively manage the output of external suppliers

- Security Clearance Eligibility Required

- Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.”

Working Conditions

- Working schedule: Five (5) days per week, seven and a half (7.5) hours per day for a thirty-seven and a half (37.5) hour work week.
- This position is part of the CRPEG Union and is governed by the terms and conditions outlined in their Collective Agreement. As a member of this bargaining unit, you’ll benefit from clear expectations around hours of work, wages, vacation, and other conditions that support a fair and consistent working environment.
