Role and responsibilities

- Ensure ongoing compliance with quality standards and industry regulatory requirements.
- Interact with various cannabis producers, licensed under the Cannabis Act.
- Interpret and apply quality assurance standards.
- Review the implementation and effectiveness of quality management systems.
- Plan, conduct, and oversee the testing and inspection of materials and products, to ensure finished product quality is maintained.
- Investigate customer complaints and non-compliance issues.
- Evaluate audit findings and implement appropriate corrective actions.




- Oversee risk management activities.
- Document discrepancies and deviations.
- Control changes to production procedures.
- Document internal audits and other quality assurance activities.

Required experience and competences

- At least 1 year of practical experience in a quality assurance role within the cannabis industry (an asset) or a similar industry (e.g. pharmaceutical, food, or manufacturing).
- College diploma (DEC) in science or biotechnology.
- Solid understanding of the Cannabis Regulations, GACP and/or GMP standards.
- Proven ability to write and revise various QMS documents.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management/organisational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively in French (required) and English (required).
- Proactive mindset and ability to work independently.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in (and access to) Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Adobe Acrobat.
