The Municipality of the County of Victoria is hiring a permanent full-time Public Works Attendant, based out of the Baddeck Waste Management Facility.

This position is a hybrid role between the Waste Management Facility and the Waste Collection Team. The successful incumbent will assist the Waste Collection Team with the collection and delivery of curbside waste, recyclables, and organics from pre-assigned and special routes to waste management facilities. The position will also assist at the Waste Management Facility with sorting, preparing, and distributing materials, controlling access to the site, and performing a variety of tasks to support and maintain the site.

Term: Full-time; permanent; unionized

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 3:00 pm or 8:00 am- 4:00pm

Rate: $20.91 per hour as per the collective agreement

Qualifications:

- Valid Nova Scotia Class 5 driver’s license
