Grande Prairie Gymnastics Society is looking for enthusiastic, energetic, and reliable individuals to join our team as Recreational & Active Start Coaches!

We have daytime, afternoon/evening, and weekend opportunities available.

No Previous Coaching Experience Required!

We will train you! You do not need previous gymnastics coaching experience to apply. We are looking for individuals who enjoy working with children, have a positive attitude, are responsible and dependable, and are eager to learn and develop recent skills.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Lead recreational gymnastics and Active Start classes for children of various ages and skill levels.
- Teach basic gymnastics skills in a fun, safe, and encouraging environment.
- Create and follow lesson plans appropriate for each class and skill level.
- Follow all gymnastics safety procedures and maintain a safe training environment.
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment by encouraging participation and providing positive feedback.
- Support participants' individual goals and development.
- Communicate professionally with athletes, parents, and other staff members.
- Keep accurate records of attendance, progress, incidents, and any concerns.
- Participate in staff meetings, training,



and professional development as required.

What We're Looking For
- No gymnastics coaching experience required — training will be provided!
- Energetic, positive, and enthusiastic personality.
- Reliable, responsible, and punctual.
- Comfortable working with children and leading a group.
- Willingness to learn and develop coaching skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience working with children is an asset, but not required.
- Previous gymnastics experience is an asset, but not required.
- CPR/First Aid certification is an asset; training will be provided if required.
