Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Red Seal Millwright to join our manufacturing team for maintenance and/or shutdown work as needed. As a key player in maintaining our industrial equipment, you will ensure the smooth operation of machinery and systems critical to each sites production process. This role offers an exciting opportunity for experienced tradespeople to apply their mechanical expertise, troubleshoot complex issues, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Your expertise will help uphold safety standards, maximize equipment uptime, and support operational excellence.

Responsibilities

- Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on a wide range of manufacturing machinery and equipment, including conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes etc.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and control system documentation to diagnose issues accurately.
- Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation tools to troubleshoot and modify control systems as needed.
- Conduct electrical work with a focus on low voltage systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and electrical codes.
- Maintain accurate records using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, maintenance history, and inventory levels.




- Collaborate with industrial electricians for complex electrical repairs or upgrades involving industrial electrical systems.
- Assist with welding tasks, boiler maintenance, HVAC troubleshooting, and mechanical repairs to support overall plant operations.
- Analyze equipment performance data to identify root causes of failures and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending process enhancements and participating in safety audits.

Requirements

- Valid Red Seal Millwright certification with proven experience in industrial maintenance within manufacturing environments.
- Robust mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience in troubleshooting complex machinery.
- Proficiency working with schematics, diagrams, and control system documentation.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate clearly with team members across departments.
- Demonstrated safety awareness and adherence to industry standards; ability to work at heights or in confined spaces as required.
