Manzer Environmental Inc. is looking for an experienced Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician / Truck & Transport Mechanic to join our team in Peace River, Alberta.

You'll work primarily on Manzer Environmental’ s own fleet, rather than dealing with a constant rotation of retail customers. Our fleet includes highway trucks, combination vacuum trucks, pressure trucks, semi-vacs, front-load garbage trucks, roll-off trucks, trailers and specialized oilfield equipment.

We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work and wants to play an important role in keeping a growing company's fleet safe, reliable and compliant.

WHAT WE OFFER

- $50–$60/hour for an experienced Journeyman/Red Seal mechanic
- Up to $7,500 in Signing & Retention Bonuses
- $2,500 after successfully completing 90 days
- Additional $2,500 after 12 months
- Additional $2,500 retention bonus after 24 months

THE ROLE As a Heavy Duty Mechanic with Manzer Environmental, you'll be responsible for preventative maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, inspections and keeping our fleet ready for work.

This isn't simply a parts-changing position.



We want a mechanic who can troubleshoot problems, identify failures before they become major repairs and help us continuously improve our maintenance program.

Responsibilities include

- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, electrical systems, air systems, steering, suspension, brakes and drivetrains
- Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing
- Complete CVIP inspections and repairs
- Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Maintain and repair vocational trucks and specialized equipment
- Inspect equipment and identify developing mechanical problems before they result in downtime
- Complete accurate work orders and maintenance documentation
- Assist with preventative maintenance scheduling
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe shop
- Work with operations to prioritize equipment repairs
- Help ensure our fleet remains compliant with provincial and company standards
- Support and mentor apprentice mechanics when required

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Preference will be given to candidates with:
- Alberta Journeyman or Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician certification
- On-Road / Truck & Transport experience
- Strong diesel diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
- Experience with Kenworth, Peterbilt, Paccar, Cummins and similar highway equipment
- Experience with air brake, electrical and hydraulic systems
- CVIP inspection experience or willingness to become certified
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence
- Strong attention to safety
- Ability to work independently




- Pride in workmanship and equipment reliability

Experience with vacuum trucks, waste trucks, roll-off systems, front-load trucks or oilfield equipment is considered a strong asset but is not required. WHY MANZER ENVIRONMENTAL?
