Responsibilities

- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) accurately and efficiently
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care strategies
- Assist with patient examinations by recording medical histories and vital signs
- Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to ensure smooth patient flow and high-quality care
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental practice management software such as Dentrix




- Support pediatric, orthodontic, or special needs patients with tailored care approaches when needed

Requirements

- Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in the state of practice
- Proven experience working in a dental office environment, preferably with pediatric or orthodontic cases
- Proficiency with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and oral health
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations, including bilingual capabilities are a plus
- Experience in dental assisting or supporting clinical procedures is advantageous
- Familiarity with pediatric dentistry, orthodontics, and general dental procedures is preferred
