Responsibilities

- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care strategies
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) accurately and efficiently
- Assist with patient assessments, including medical history updates and vital sign measurements
- Collaborate with dentists to develop personalized treatment plans for patients
- Maintain detailed, accurate patient records using dental practice management software
- Provide compassionate customer service, addressing patient questions and concerns with professionalism




- Support pediatric patients and their families by creating a friendly, comfortable setting
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow

Requirements

- Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in the province of practice
- Proven experience in dental hygiene, preferably with dental office experience in fast-paced environments
- Knowledge of dental procedures, medical terminology, and infection control protocols
- Familiarity with OD or similar dental practice management software is highly desirable
- Experience working with orthodontics or pediatrics is a plus
- Bilingual abilities are preferred to serve diverse patient populations effectively
- Strong customer service skills with a positive, energetic attitude
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining attention to detail
