Montreal's tech scene is home to a genuinely exciting opening at Amazon Web Services (AWS): an Associate Customer Acquisition Representative (ACAR) role within the AWS Cloud Sales Center. Day to day, this role is all about outbound prospecting — reaching out to potential customers, qualifying leads, and setting up meaningful first conversations for senior sellers. About the Role: Associate Customer Acquisition Representative
As an ACAR on the Customer Acquisition team, you'll be responsible for generating early-stage sales pipeline through structured prospecting activities. This means initiating contact via cold calls and lead follow-up, documenting pre-qualification details, and applying AWS opportunity qualification methodology to support initial discovery conversations with both new and existing customers.
Success in this role requires a genuine drive to hit daily and quarterly targets, a commitment to data accuracy in CRM systems, and a curiosity about cloud technology that keeps you continuously learning. Benefits and Salary
The base salary range for this position in Montreal, QC is $44,900 to $75,100 CAD annually. As part of AWS's total compensation approach,
the offer may also include sign-on bonuses and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).

Responsibilities
In this role, your primary focus will be on building early-stage sales pipeline for AWS through proactive outreach and rigorous research. Every week, you'll be expected to generate a set number of first sales meetings for senior representatives, making consistency and discipline core parts of the job.
- Prospect outbound to potential customers through cold calls and lead follow-up to generate qualified first sales meetings for sellers each week
- Document pre-qualification information comprehensively and share it with the sales team to support effective initial customer conversations
- Research accounts using internal and external sources to identify key stakeholders and understand potential customer pain points
- Apply AWS qualification methodology to support discovery conversations with both new and existing customers
- Maintain CRM accuracy by investigating and updating account records in internal systems to ensure reliable customer data
- Build foundational knowledge continuously around industry trends and AWS service offerings,
including Generative AI capabilities
- Contribute to pipeline growth by developing core sales and technology skills through structured prospecting activities

- Bachelor's degree is required for this position
- Demonstrated sales experience through internships, part time roles, or full time positions involving prospecting, cold calling, lead qualification, or pipeline management — with specific examples of hitting targets and building customer relationships
- Strong communication skills — comfortable speaking with a wide range of people, writing clearly, listening actively, and adjusting tone to suit the audience
- Self-starter mindset — proactively seeking opportunities to improve, add value, and pursue goals with drive and resilience
