We are a residential construction company in the Durham Region / GTA, doing high-end renovations, additions, and custom home builds.

We're hiring a General Labourer to join our crew under a Project Lead. This is a starting point into the trade, not a dead-end job. We want someone who thinks a problem through instead of guessing, works hard without being told twice, and wants to grow into more responsibility over time.

Responsibilities

- Assist with site preparation, demolition, cleanup, and organization to maintain a safe and efficient work setting
- Support skilled tradespeople by handling materials, tools, and equipment as needed
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely under supervision
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to understand project requirements
- Participate in drywall installation, painting, caulking, flooring, tile laying, and cabinet installation projects
- Support plumbing, electrical, and HVAC work by preparing materials or assisting with installations
- Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with regulations

Qualifications

- Prior construction experience or familiarity with general building practices is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics,



and construction drawings is advantageous
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation is a plus
- Knowledge of construction techniques such as concrete finishing, masonry, carpentry, drywall installation, and flooring is desirable
- Basic understanding of electrical or plumbing systems can be beneficial
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to stand, lift heavy objects, and perform manual labor for extended periods
- Logical: you think a problem through instead of guessing or waiting to be told every step
- Hard-working: you show up on time and do the job right, without cutting corners
- Eager to learn and grow: this role is a starting point toward a trade, not a ceiling

Pay: $17.60-$25.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 – 44.0 per week
