We are looking for a Residential Window & Door Field Measurement Specialist to join our team and play an important role in delivering that level of service to our customers.

About the Role:

The Field Measurement Specialist is responsible for visiting customers' homes after the sale to verify existing site conditions and obtain the accurate production measurements and technical information required to order replacement windows and doors.

This position is a critical link between the customer, sales team, manufacturers, scheduling department, and installation crews.

The successful candidate will understand that measuring a replacement window or door is about much more than recording dimensions. It requires the ability to assess an existing opening, understand how the existing product is installed, identify potential complications, and determine the information required to ensure the replacement product can be properly manufactured and installed.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct residential site visits for replacement window and door projects.
- Verify existing site conditions before products are ordered.
- Obtain accurate production measurements for replacement windows and doors.
- Inspect existing window and door openings and identify conditions that may affect removal and installation.
- Assess existing frames, sills, jambs, headers, exterior finishes, interior finishes, trim, and surrounding construction.
- Identify unusual or potentially problematic conditions and communicate them to the appropriate team members.
- Confirm that field conditions are consistent with the information obtained during the sales process.
- Determine the appropriate measurement and product information required for manufacturing and ordering.
- Take clear and useful photographs to document existing conditions.
- Accurately record measurements, observations, and technical information.
- Communicate potential installation challenges before products are ordered.




- Work closely with the sales, scheduling, manufacturing, and installation teams.
- Provide clarification or additional information when required during the ordering or installation process.
- Maintain accurate and timely project documentation.
- Represent Aaben professionally while working in customers' homes.
- Follow Aaben's established procedures for site verification, measurement, documentation, and communication.
- Process the final work order.

What Makes Someone Successful in This Position? We are looking for someone who is technically minded, detail-oriented, and experienced with residential construction or renovation. You should be comfortable looking at an existing window or door and asking:

How is this product installed? What will we encounter when it is removed? What conditions exist behind and around the opening? What information does the manufacturer need? And what does the installation crew need to know before they arrive?

The successful candidate will be someone who takes pride in getting the details right before the product reaches the job site.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

- Experience in residential construction, renovation, carpentry, windows and doors, or a related trade.
- Strong knowledge of residential construction practices.
- Experience with replacement windows and doors is highly desirable.
- Strong ability to take and record accurate measurements.
- Ability to understand residential building components and construction details.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to identify potential installation issues before they become problems.
- Ability to read and interpret measurements, drawings, product specifications, and construction details.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple site visits.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining communication with the office and installation teams.
- Skilled and courteous manner when dealing with homeowners.
- Valid driver's licence.
