Residential Service Plumber (4th-Year Apprentice or Journeyman)

Calgary / Surrounding Areas | $40–$45 per hour depending on experience | Company service vehicle + Health Spending Account

Northern Flame Plumbing & Heating Ltd. is looking for a skilled residential service plumber who takes pride in clean, professional work and enjoys troubleshooting plumbing and heating systems for homeowners. Hydronic heating experience is a big plus.

This is a full-time, year-round position focused on residential service, troubleshooting, and renovation work in Calgary and surrounding areas. You'll work under our lead service plumber as part of a small, professional crew. If you love diagnosing problems in occupied homes, working directly with homeowners, and doing the job right the first time, this role was built for you.

What You'll Be Doing
- Residential plumbing service and troubleshooting in occupied homes
- Diagnosing and repairing plumbing and heating issues
- Hydronic heating installation and diagnostics: boilers, in-floor radiant, zoning, circulators, and controls
- Bathroom, kitchen, and basement renovation plumbing
- Installation and replacement of plumbing fixtures, water heaters, and equipment
- Furnace troubleshooting and natural gas line work as needed
- Working directly with homeowners, builders, and contractors
- Keeping clean, organized job sites and leaving every home cleaner than you found it

What We're Looking For

- Journeyman Plumber certification in Alberta,



OR a 4th-year apprentice with strong hands-on residential service experience
- Minimum 2 years of residential plumbing experience, including troubleshooting and repair in occupied homes
- Hydronic heating installation and diagnostic experience considered a strong asset
- Gas Fitter ticket considered an asset
- Furnace troubleshooting and installation experience considered an asset
- Ability to diagnose problems and make decisions on site
- Strong communication and customer service skills. You'll be working directly in people's homes.
- Valid Alberta driver's licence with a clean driving record
