Roofer/Shingler - Permanent and Full Time.

Install, repair or replace shingles, shakes and other roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings. Install metal flashing.

Ability to work at heights.

Ability to carry up to 23 kgs (50 lbs)

Ability to work outdoors in all seasons.

Written and spoken English.

Knowledge of safety procedures.

Completion of High School or Equivalent.

$18-30$/hr depending on experience

40 hrs/week, overtime possible.

Weekend availability needed.

Willing to travel.

Vacation pay is 4% of the gross wage

Valid drivers license (Necessary)

Main Duties

- Install asphalt shingles and other roofing materials
- Remove and replace existing roofing materials
- Inspect roofs for damage, leaks, and areas requiring repair
- Install underlayment, flashing, vents, caps, and other roofing components
- Repair and replace damaged shingles and roofing materials
- Prepare roof surfaces for installation
- Measure, cut, and fit roofing materials accurately
- Use roofing tools and equipment safely and properly
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures
- Work safely at heights and use ladders, scaffolding, and fall-protection equipment




- Assist with other roofing-related duties as required

Required Skills & Education
- Previous roofing or shingling experience is required
- High school education is preferred
- Strong knowledge of roofing materials, tools, and installation techniques
- Ability to work safely at heights
- Physically able to lift roofing materials and perform demanding manual work
- Good attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Roofing apprenticeship, trade certification, or Red Seal certification is an asset
