Saturn has an opportunity for a full time Royalty and Special Projects Analyst based in the Calgary, Alberta office. Reporting to the Supervisor, Royalties and Regulatory, the Royalty and Special Projects Analyst will be responsible for royalty encumbrance analysis, non-crown royalty cheque runs, monthly NRT payments, monitoring new well and well change trackers, and resolution of non-crown royalty queries.

Some specific duties, and responsibilities of the Royalty and Special Projects Analyst include, but are not limited to:

- Analyze well abstracts and PA system master data to ensure non-crown royalties are being properly calculated and remitted




- Update or create royalty masters in Metrix for new wells or changes
- Preparation and analysis of monthly non-crown royalty cheque run
- Calculation and payment of monthly non-resident withholding tax
- Assist in preparation of annual T5 and NR4 tax statements
- Management of royalty audits and queries
- Calculation of NPI and other manual royalties

Candidates for this position will possess the following qualifications and competencies:
- Knowledge of royalty encumbrances and remittance obligations
- Hands on experience with Metrix production accounting system is essential
- Advanced Excel data management skills
- Competency with Qbyte FM/Optix, CS Land, Energylink and GeoScout
- Attention to detail is essential in this role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude
- Capability to plan, execute and re-prioritize as required
- Ability to function effectively within a multi-discipline environment
- Solid work ethic and willingness to accept current challenges
