- The Rural and Suburban Mail Carrier will deliver mail, on an on-call basis, to various communities.
- You’ll also be sorting, picking up, securing, and then delivering mail as part of the routine.
- There’s more to it than just dropping letters, because you’ll be processing Canada Post products and services.
- In addition, you’ll need to operate a vehicle safely, even with changing weather and busy traffic conditions.

Responsibilities

- Learn and keep up your knowledge of local roads, customers , and delivery receptacles
- Make sure mail stays safely secured while it’s in your possession
- Process Items Delivered Bill (IDB) and other Canada Post products and services

Requirements

- A driver’s abstract is required
- Must have a valid permanent provincial Class 5 or Class G driver’s licence
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely in different weather and traffic conditions
- Applicants who live within 75 km of the Post Office are preferred
