Event Sales AssistantJob Summary

We are seeking an energetic, confident and customer-focused Event Sales Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will promote upcoming events, connect with potential customers and help increase ticket sales.

The ideal candidate is friendly, outgoing and comfortable approaching people in person, speaking on the phone and promoting events through social media. This is a paid position in a fast-paced and engaging environment.

Duties

- Promote events and sell tickets in person, by phone and through social media
- Approach potential customers and clearly explain event details, ticket options and special offers
- Respond to customer questions in a friendly and professional manner
- Encourage customers to purchase tickets and help the team meet sales targets
- Process cash, credit card and digital payments accurately
- Use a POS system and maintain accurate sales records
- Distribute posters and promotional materials at approved locations
- Assist at promotional booths, community events and event venues
- Follow up with interested customers and potential group bookings
- Support event check-in and guest services when required




- Complete multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods

Skills and Qualifications
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, hospitality or event promotion is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Confident approaching and speaking with new people
- Friendly, professional and customer-focused personality
- Comfortable promoting events in person and on social media
- Ability to encourage sales without pressuring customers
- Basic math skills for processing payments and handling cash
- Familiarity with POS systems and card-payment procedures is an asset
- Robust organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are an asset
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
