About Moon Cycle

Moon Cycle is a small, independently owned retail/service shop in the heart of Golden, BC. During the Winter we are a ski service shop, specializing in Nordic ski sales, rentals, accessories, and ski repair. In the Summer we focus on bicycle parts, service, accessories, clothing, and rentals. We feature a year-round coffee and smoothie bar, as well as a (seasonal) ice cream shop. Moon Cycle also carries a variety of New Age products to promote mindfulness and spiritual well being.

Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and proactive Sales Associate to join our team for the upcoming Spring/Summer season. This role involves engaging with customers, providing excellent service, and assisting in daily store operations. If you have experience working in retail, customer service, bicycles/rentals, food service, or any combination of these things, we are hoping to hear from you!

Training will be available for cafe and rental operations, so we will be looking for someone with the right combination of customer service skills, motivation, and desire to learn in a agile environment.

Responsibilities

- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products or services that meet their needs
- Operate POS systems, handle cash, credit card payments,



with attention to detail and problem solving
- Help customers to select, reserve, and make the most of their experience with our fleet of rental bicycles
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales area, including food preparation stations
- Ensure food safety standards are followed during food handling and serving processes
- Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly during busy periods
- Support team members in daily store operations to ensure a smooth shopping experience

Qualifications

- Previous experience in food industry roles such as barista, server, or food handler is preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively
- Basic math skills for cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Knowledge of bicycles, parts, and accessories is an asset
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Pay: $18.25-$22.00 per hour
