About Sugar Mountain In 1992 Sugar Mountain began in Toronto as a street level open-air booth on trendy Queen Street West.

Mountain outgrew that booth and moved to a nearby storefront in early 1995. The bigger space allowed the store to evolve and flourish. By 2015 Sugar Mountain grew into a successful brand with over 20 stores across Canada with a following of customers with an unquenchable thirst for the sugar experience...Currently there are two Sugar Mountain stores located in Ottawa, Ontario.

Part-Time Sales Associate

Sugar Mountain’s Bayshore location is hiring!

Are you a passionate candy connoisseur? We’re looking for a friendly, energetic, and reliable part-time sales associate to join our team!

You’ll help create a fun and welcoming shopping experience while assisting customers, keeping the store looking its best, and making sure our candy displays are always stocked and ready to shop.

What you will be doing:

- Completing cashier transactions accurately through our POS system
- Handling cash through sale transactions and through counting your own till




- Helping customers in a courteous manner by answering questions appropriately and finding items by guiding customers to our products
- Engaging in customer service by greeting customers and commencing friendly conversations
- Completing daily cleaning procedures that includes wiping down and washing work spaces, scoops, and bins
- Meticulously following opening and closing procedures
- Maintaining store organization by continuously fronting products, putting out new products from orders, and following cleaning procedures
- Receiving, unpacking, and organizing incoming merchandise
- Other tasks as required

Who we are looking for:

- Friendly, positive, and comfortable interacting with customers
- Able to work independently and as a team
- Capable of counting cash proficiently
- Available to work a part-time schedule, including evenings and weekends
- Able to stand for extended periods of time and lift boxes up to 50 pounds.
- Previous retail or customer service experience is an asset, but not required
- Must have a willingness to learn and, of course, an appreciation for candy!

- Hourly wage: $17.60
