Sales Closer | Gateway Tutoring

Gateway Tutoring is looking for a Sales Closer to work closely with our Setter and help prospective students and parents make the right educational decision for their needs.

This is not a cold-sales role.

Our leads are warm, engaged, and have already expressed interest in receiving support. Your role is to understand their goals, determine whether Gateway Tutoring is the right fit, and help qualified families and students confidently move forward.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

- Taking approximately 10-15 consultation calls per week
- Speaking with prospective parents, teens, and adult learners
- Understanding each learner's goals, challenges, and current situation
- Recommending the most appropriate Gateway Tutoring program and level
- Clearly explaining how our programs work and what support students receive
- Answering questions honestly and professionally
- Helping qualified families make a confident enrollment decision
- Maintaining accurate records of call outcomes and follow-up activities
- Working closely with our Setter to continually improve lead quality, show-up rates, and the overall enrollment process

You will also participate in a 30-minute team check-in Monday through Thursday.

This is a collaborative role. Our Setter and Closer work as a team and maintain close communication with our student success and tutoring teams.

We are looking for someone who can maintain a high level of integrity while ensuring that our programs are genuinely the right fit for each learner.

Schedule

You must have availability for:

- Approximately 10-15 consultation calls per week
- A 30-minute team check-in Monday through Thursday

You may choose your consultation-call availability.

However, once established, we expect those hours to remain consistent so our Setter can confidently schedule appointments into your calendar.

Because most students and parents are available outside of school and work hours, some afternoon and evening availability is required.

Compensation

Compensation includes

- $250 per week base pay
- $75 commission for each completed enrollment

This role begins with a 90-day probationary period. Compensation and responsibilities will be reviewed at the end of the probation period based on performance, enrollment results, and overall fit.

Previous experience in sales, enrollment advising, admissions, customer success,



educational consulting, tutoring services, or similar client-facing roles is considered an asset.

About Gateway Tutoring

Gateway Tutoring helps children, teens, and adults build confidence and proficiency in French through structured online programs focused on real communication, meaningful interaction, and long-term language growth.

Families and students often come to us because something isn't working. A child may be struggling in French Immersion, falling behind in oral communication, feeling anxious about French, or simply not making the progress they hoped for. Adult learners may need French for work, immigration, certification exams, or personal goals, but aren't sure what type of support would be the best fit.

The Closer plays an important role in helping families and students navigate these decisions.

Rather than simply selling a program, the Closer listens carefully, asks thoughtful questions, and helps identify each learner's goals, challenges, and needs. They guide prospective clients toward the program, level, and support structure that will give them the greatest chance of success.

We are looking for someone who can combine strong sales skills with sound judgment, empathy, and a genuine commitment to helping students find the right path forward. The ideal candidate is confident in consultations, comfortable discussing enrollment and investment, and motivated by helping learners achieve meaningful results in French.

Pay: $250.00-$1,000.00 per week
