About the Position

We are looking for a reliable, professional, and customer-focused Security Guard to join our supermarket team. The successful candidate will help maintain a safe and secure setting for customers, employees, and store property while providing a welcoming presence throughout the store.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor the store premises to help prevent theft, vandalism, and other security incidents.
- Conduct regular patrols of the sales floor, entrances, exits, parking areas, and other designated areas.
- Monitor CCTV and security systems where applicable.
- Observe and report suspicious or unusual activity.
- Respond appropriately to security incidents, emergencies, and disturbances.
- Follow company procedures when dealing with suspected theft or other incidents.
- Prepare clear and accurate incident reports and maintain daily security logs.
- Assist with crowd control and emergency situations when required.
- Work cooperatively with store management, employees, customers, police, emergency services, and other authorities when necessary.
- Ensure that all security procedures and company policies are followed.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service while maintaining a visible security presence.

Qualifications




- Valid security guard licence required, where applicable.
- Previous security, loss prevention, retail, or customer service experience is an asset.
- Strong observation and communication skills.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to complete written reports accurately.
- Current First Aid/CPR certification is an asset.

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 per week
