Position summary:

The Security Guard / First Aid Attendant is responsible for maintaining site security, controlling access, monitoring site activity, and providing immediate first aid and emergency response services. This role supports a safe and secure operating setting in compliance with company policies and applicable health and safety regulations. Reporting to the Security Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities

· Control site access, including verification of personnel, contractors, and visitors

· Conduct routine patrols of the mine site, facilities, and equipment

· Monitor surveillance systems and report any security breaches or incidents

· Enforce site policies, safety procedures, and emergency protocols

· Respond to emergencies, including medical incidents, fires, and security threats

· Provide first aid treatment and maintain accurate incident and treatment records

· Coordinate with emergency services when required

· Maintain and inspect first aid supplies, equipment, and emergency response kits

· Prepare daily security and incident reports

· Support safety meetings and contribute to site safety culture

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Current First Aid and CPR certification (Advanced or Occupational First Aid preferred)




- Valid Ontario Driving license
- Experience in a security or emergency response role, preferably in mining, construction, or industrial environments
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and emergency procedures
- Ability to work rotational shifts, including nights and extended hours
- Physically fit and capable of responding to emergency situations
- Strong communication, observation, and reporting skills
- Proficient in basic computer systems and reporting tools
- Applicants must be legally authorized or permitted to work in Canada without Employer sponsorship

Assets:

- Mine site experience
- WHMIS certification

Working conditions · Rotational Schedule on a 4 days 0n/ 4 days off, 12 hours shift

· Competitive hourly rate based on experience (between $22-$24 per hour)
