About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Chemical Engineer to lead and manage capital projects in Kimberley . This role involves overseeing projects from conception through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest technical standards. You will be responsible for process design, equipment specification, project planning, and coordination with various stakeholders. This is a key leadership position for an experienced project engineer in the chemical industry.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the design and execution of chemical engineering capital projects, from feasibility studies to commissionning.
- Develop process designs, including P&IDs;, mass/energy balances, and equipment specifications for new facilities or modifications.
- Manage project scope, budget, and schedule, ensuring successful project delivery.
- Coordinate with internal teams (operations, safety, procurement) and external contractors and vendors.
- Conduct technical reviews and ensure compliance with all relevant engineering standards,



safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
- Provide technical expertise and mentorship to project engineering teams.

Requirements

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering .
- 8+ years of experience in chemical project engineering and management.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex chemical plant projects.
- Strong knowledge of process design principles, equipment selection, and project management methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Experience with project management software and tools.
