As a result of the continued growth and evolution of the organization, Inland has decided to create the new role of Senior Legal Counsel. Reporting to the CFO, the Senior Legal Counsel will serve as the organization’s internal legal advisor, providing practical, business-oriented legal guidance. This role is responsible for advising executive leadership and operating teams on a broad range of commercial legal matters, managing legal risk, supporting commercial objectives, and protecting the organization’s reputation through sound judgment, clear communication, and proactive issue resolution.

In this individual contributor role, the Senior Legal Counsel will also function as the key point of contact for the organization’s legal needs and activities,



coordinating legal matters and managing external counsel.

The ideal candidate is a pragmatic commercial lawyer who brings in-house counsel experience within a multi-location, asset-intensive, automotive, transportation, dealership, retail, distribution, or commercial services environment. Ideally, they will bring specific experience in some or all of the following: cross-border experience in both Canada and the US; privately held or family-owned organization; or experience in an operating environment involving heavy equipment or capital assets. The successful candidate will be equally effective negotiating complex agreements, advising on property or transaction matters, resolving escalated complaints, managing litigation, and helping leaders make sound decisions in a dynamic, multi-location dealership environment.

The ability to build solid internal relationships and partnerships, along with a genuine interest in learning the business and its operations, will be critical to success.
