Your Opportunity

Reporting to the Lift Lead, with overall direction provided by the Lift Supervisors, the Senior Lift Attendant is an experienced Lift Attendant who takes on additional responsibility for the day-to-day operation of an assigned chairlift and carpet. Acting as the on-site leader for their assigned lift, this position coordinates breaks and rotations, provides direction and support to Lift Attendants, monitors staff and station coverage, and acts as the first point of contact for guest questions and concerns. The Senior Lift Attendant role is primarily scheduled on weekends, holidays, and other peak operating periods when additional on-site support is required. The primary responsibilities of this position include:

- Oversee the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of the assigned lift, serving as the primary point of contact for Lift Attendants working at the lift.
- Coordinate, document, and oversee staff breaks and rotations at the assigned lift to ensure appropriate coverage and minimal disruption to lift operations.
- Provide direction and guidance to Lift Attendants at the assigned lift, actively monitoring staff to ensure they remain at their assigned station and consistently follow approved operating procedures, safety standards, and customer service expectations.
- Monitor staff performance and station coverage throughout the shift, providing coaching and direction when needed and escalating ongoing or significant concerns to the Lift Lead.
- Monitor lift operations and proactively identify and address operational issues, escalating concerns to the Lift Lead or Lift Maintenance when required.
- Assist with troubleshooting RFID gates, lift passes, and other common operational related concerns, escalating more complex issues to the Lift Lead when necessary.
- Monitor and maintain loading and unloading ramps, signage, corrals, and surrounding areas to approved standards.
- Support safe housekeeping inside the lift shacks and around the assigned lift to ensure the area remains safe, clean, and operational.
- Communicate staffing concerns, operational issues, customer concerns, and other relevant information to the Lift Lead, escalating to the Lift Supervisor as required.




- Ensure that the approved operating procedures are followed in accordance with the Lift Operations manual and TSSA/passenger ropeway regulations.
- Work in accordance with the Conservation Halton’s Safety Policies & Procedures and the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations and all other related manuals.
- Other duties as assigned

Your Qualifications

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Professional, energetic, reliable, and approachable.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
- Ability to provide positive, respectful leadership and direction to peers while maintaining a collaborative and supportive team environment.
- Ability to lead by example and provide respectful, constructive feedback and coaching to peers when needed.
- Customer service mindset, with a commitment to safety of both staff and guests
- Previous leadership, customer service, and/or skiing/snowboarding experience are an asset
- Previous experience with, and working knowledge of lift operation standards, safety policies, and emergency procedures is an asset.
- Ability to work in and adapt to the daily challenges associated with a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with difficult customer or staff situations.
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions, on varied terrain.
- Able to lift up to 30 pounds, stand, and walk for long periods of time.
- Successful candidates must provide their own black snow pants (no patterns), winter gloves/mitts, and winter boots *Uniform jacket and hat will be provided (Jacket to be returned end of season)
- Successful candidates must complete Bullwheel Training and Lift Evacuation Training prior to first day of employment *Training provided by Conservation Halton
- CH parks are not accessible by public transit; candidates should ensure they have reliable transportation.

- Starting at $19.79 per hour
- Part-time hours available; hours may vary depending on operational needs and availability.
- This position is primarily scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays, as well as holidays and other peak operating periods.
- Working hours may include daytime and evening shifts.
