About the Job

We are currently looking for a full-time or two part-time Market Specialist(s) to work in our On-Farm Market for 25+ hours per week. If you have experience in retail, produce, inventory management, merchandising, this is for you! In this role you will gain a wide variety of experience from sorting produce, setting up and stripping produce displays, restocking, inventory counts, greeting and serving customers, maintaining a safe shopping environment, along with other interesting and different tasks like fulfilling online grocery orders or taking customer orders for special events.

Important Details:

- If Full-time: 20-30 hours per week. 4 or 5 shifts through the week (mornings, afternoons and early evenings) or weekend as scheduled, with the potential for more hours
- If Part-time: 10-20 hours per week. 3 or 4 shifts through the week (mornings, afternoons and early evenings) or weekend as scheduled, with the potential for more hours
- Hours: 4-6 hour shifts
- Pay: Minimum wage to start with the opportunity to grow
- Incentives: 25% discount on most things in the Market (and amazing teammates!)
- Seasonal: March/April to December, brief seasonal break

Responsibilities

- Sort, prep, and trim produce,



then stock displays – high-quality produce is our top priority!
- Continually checking produce displays and restocking to ensure the look and feel of the Market is consistent
- Keeping track of inventory and expiry dates
- Pricing, counting, or reviewing the products on the shelves and repositioning when needed
- Ensure the Market is clean and tidy, floors are swept, shelves are clean and cooler doors are wiped down
- Serve all customers with a positive and professional attitude!

About You

Do you have:

- Previous retail or produce experience?
- The ability to juggle multiple priorities with a smile on your face?
- The ability to frequently lift 50 lbs (bags of potatoes, etc)?
- Smart Serve and Food Handler Certification is a must, but Lee & Maria’s will work with the successful candidate to obtain these certifications and will reimburse costs after the successful completion of the probationary period
