About the role

Halton Event Rentals supplies tents, tables, chairs, dance floors, staging, linens and variety of items for weddings, corporate events, and community celebrations. We're adding a part-time Setup & Delivery Associate to our crew. You'll load, deliver, set up, and take down rental equipment at event sites, and represent Halton Event Rentals in front of clients. As the business grows, strong performers will be first in line for full-time hours.

What you'll do

- Load and secure equipment at the warehouse using our load checklist
- Drive the company truck (with trailer) to event sites on time
- Set up and take down tents, seating, tables, dance floors, and staging per the client's layout
- Photograph the setup at delivery and pickup, and confirm items with the client
- Inspect returned gear, flag damage, and report issues the same day
- Keep the warehouse, truck, and trailer clean and organized
- Follow safety, lifting, and vehicle-use procedures on every job

What we're looking for

- Valid Ontario G licence with a clean or near-clean driver's abstract (we check before the first shift)
- Comfort driving a full-size pickup, ideally with trailer towing experience (we'll train and test)
- Able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and work as a team on heavier items
- Comfortable working outdoors in heat, cold, wind, and rain
- Reliable, punctual, and calm with clients on-site
- Available weekends plus some weekday and evening runs




- Legally eligible to work in Canada. No prior rental or tent experience required

Nice to have

- Prior delivery, moving, warehouse, or event setup experience
- Familiarity with moving equipment, ratchet straps, and load securing
- Comfort with a smartphone for order lookups and photo proof of delivery

Schedule and pay

- Part-time, scheduled around event bookings. Weekend-heavy, with hours varying by season
- Paid hourly at $20/hr depending on experience and driving qualifications
- Paid for all time worked, including loading and travel between the warehouse and event sites
- Paid on-the-job training, including shadow shifts with an experienced team member

Path to full-time

- Full-time hours are offered as bookings grow, based on reliability, safe driving, quality of setups, and client feedback
- Longer term, opportunities to become a crew lead or take on more driving and logistics responsibility
