Role Description The Sheet Metal Worker is a full-time, on-site role based in Halifax, NS, supporting HVAC/R installations and service projects. Day-to-day tasks include fabricating, cutting, forming, and assembling sheet metal components for ductwork, ventilation systems, and related mechanical installations. The role involves interpreting drawings and specifications, measuring and laying out materials, and using hand tools and power tools to complete precise work.

The Sheet Metal

Worker will install and secure duct systems, perform repairs and adjustments,



and collaborate with technicians and installers to ensure safe, code-compliant, and efficient systems. The position requires adherence to safety procedures, maintaining a clean work area, and supporting project timelines and quality standards.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in Sheet Metal fabrication and Metal working for HVAC/R and mechanical systems.
- Proficient use of Hand Tools and basic power tools commonly used in metal and construction work.
- Knowledge of HVAC/R systems, ductwork installation, and mechanical drawings or blueprints.
- Commitment to workplace safety, including use of PPE and adherence to safety regulations.
- Ability to lift and move materials, work in varied environments, and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Trade certification or apprenticeship in Sheet Metal, HVAC, or a related mechanical field preferred.
- Reliable, organized, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
