Responsibilities:

The responsibilities for the rewarding position of Sheet Metal Deburrer at Ben Machine Products will include the following:

- Set up and use hand tools to remove burrs, sharp edges, slag and surface imperfections from sheet metal parts.
- Set up and use sanding, grinding, polishing and finishing tools and equipment.
- Deburr, grind, sand and polish sheet metal components after cutting, punching, forming or fabrication.
- Visually inspect sheet metal parts, edges, holes, corners and formed features for burrs and imperfections.




- Maintain tools and equipment as required.
- Handle thin-gauge and precision sheet metal parts carefully to prevent scratches, bending, warping or other damage.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions and finish requirements for sheet metal parts.
- All other duties as assigned.

Experience: We are looking for candidates with the following minimum experience:

- Previous sheet metal deburring, grinding, sanding or metal finishing experience required.
- Experience using files, grinders, sanders, Scotch-Brite, deburring tools and polishing equipment preferred.
- Ability to select the appropriate tools and techniques to meet edge-break, cosmetic and quality requirements.
- Previous aerospace or military experience preferred.
- Previous sheet metal fabrication or job shop experience preferred.
