About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Shop Foreman to lead and oversee the daily operations of our Concord maintenance and repair facility. The ideal candidate will hold valid 310T (Truck & Coach Technician) and 310S (Automotive Service Technician) licenses and demonstrate strong leadership and diagnostic skills.
We are preferably looking for a working technician who holds both 310T and 310S licenses, capable of taking on a hands-on leadership role while continuing to contribute actively on the shop floor.
This position also requires occasional travel to our Orillia and Peterborough locations to provide operational support and oversight as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the Concord shop
- Perform diagnostics, inspections, and repairs on both heavy-duty and light-duty vehicles
- Schedule and prioritize work orders to maximize efficiency
- Coach, support, and mentor technicians and apprentices
- Ensure all repairs meet safety, regulatory, and quality standards
- Maintain detailed service records and communicate vehicle status updates
- Manage shop inventory and parts ordering as required
- Conduct quality assurance checks and enforce shop safety procedures
- Provide support during visits to Orillia and Peterborough locations
Qualifications:
- Valid 310T and 310S licenses (Ontario)
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on mechanical experience
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience is a strong asset
- Preferably a working technician who leads by example
- Strong diagnostic skills and mechanical knowledge across vehicle types
- Effective communicator with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to manage shifting priorities and work under pressure
- Comfortable with maintenance software and computer systems
- Willingness to travel occasionally to Orillia and Peterborough
