Location: Calgary and surrounding areas, Alberta

Employment Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $40-$45/hour

Schedule: Monday to Friday; 7 AM- 5 PM

About The Role

Framerz Inc. is seeking an experienced Site Foreman to lead framing crews on large-scale condominium and multi-family projects throughout Calgary and surrounding areas.

This role is responsible for managing daily field operations, coordinating crews and materials, maintaining production schedules, ensuring quality workmanship, and supporting safe and efficient project delivery.

The ideal candidate is an experienced wood-frame construction leader who can read drawings, plan ahead, solve field challenges, and keep crews productive without sacrificing safety or quality.

Key Responsibilities

Field Leadership &

- Production

- Lead daily wood-framing operations on multi-unit residential, condominium, and mid-rise projects
- Supervise framing crews across multiple floors, work areas, and construction phases
- Plan daily crew assignments and establish clear priorities before work begins
- Monitor productivity, workmanship, schedule progress, and site constraints
- Coordinate materials, prefabricated components, deliveries, equipment, and staging requirements
- Identify and resolve issues involving materials, access, sequencing, drawings, and site conditions
- Reduce rework and delays through proactive planning and communication

Drawings, Layout &

- Quality Control

- Read and interpret architectural, structural, framing, and prefabrication drawings
- Verify layouts, grids, openings, elevations, dimensions,



and sequencing before work proceeds
- Identify drawing conflicts and communicate RFIs or missing information early
- Ensure framing work meets project requirements and quality standards
- Prepare work areas for inspections and support inspection readiness

Safety Leadership

- Maintain practical and consistent jobsite safety standards
- Ensure crews understand and follow safety requirements, including:
- Job Hazard Assessments (JHAs)
- Fall protection requirements
- Housekeeping standards
- Equipment and tool safety
- Access and hazard controls
- Review changing site conditions with crews and adjust safety practices as needed
- Support pre-use inspections for equipment, including MEWPs, telehandlers, fall protection equipment, and other field equipment

Communication &

- Coordination

- Coordinate with project managers, site superintendents, subcontractors, suppliers, and other trades
- Provide clear updates on production progress, site conditions, and challenges
- Maintain professional relationships with clients, site representatives, inspectors, and trade partners
- Represent Framerz Inc. with a solutions-focused and respectful approach
- Communicate problems early with relevant details and practical recommendations

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

- Previous foreman or supervisory experience in wood-frame construction
- Experience managing crews on multi-family, condominium, or mid-rise wood-frame projects
- Strong understanding of wood-framing methods, sequencing, and production processes
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Proven ability to lead crews, maintain productivity, and meet schedule requirements
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to solve problems effectively in active construction environments
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation




- Ability to work outdoors and perform physical construction duties when required

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with prefabricated wall panels, floor systems, trusses, or component installation
- Experience coordinating cranes, MEWPs, telehandlers, and material handling equipment
- Experience on large condominium or multi-building residential projects
- Ability to identify constructability issues and recommend field solutions
- Safety certifications such as Fall Protection, First Aid, WHMIS, CSTS, or equivalent
