- Saturdays and Sundays from January 9 to February 28, 2027
- Applicants must be available for both days each weekend
- Based at Mount St. Louis Moonstone
- Reports directly to the On Hill Manager
- Compensation will be based on certification and experience

Position Overview Evolve Camps is seeking an experienced Ski and Snowboard Technical Supervisor to support our winter program at Mount St. Louis Moonstone.

The Technical Supervisor will move between ski and snowboard groups throughout the day to observe lessons, support coaches, and maintain a consistently high standard of instruction across the program. They will also provide individualized coaching to participants who require additional assistance.

This position reports directly to the On Hill Manager and works closely with the management team and coaching staff. Depending on weekly staffing needs, the Technical Supervisor may occasionally be assigned to coach a group for the day.

Key Responsibilities

- Observe ski and snowboard coaches while they deliver lessons
- Ensure lessons are safe, engaging, organized, and appropriate for each group’s ability level
- Provide coaches with clear, constructive feedback and practical teaching guidance
- Support coaches with lesson planning, group management, and participant skill development
- Identify participants who require additional support or individualized coaching
- Work directly with participants who are struggling, falling behind, or ready for an additional challenge
- Help assess participant ability levels and recommend group changes when appropriate
- Promote consistent coaching and safety standards across all ski and snowboard groups
- Assist with staff training and ongoing coach development
- Communicate instructional, behavioural, staffing, and safety concerns to the On Hill Manager
- Support the On Hill Manager with the daily operation of the program




- Coach an assigned ski or snowboard group when required due to staff absences or coaching shortages
- Help create a positive, encouraging, and inclusive experience for all participants

Qualifications

- Current or previous CSIA or CASI certification is required
- Solid technical knowledge and teaching experience in either skiing or snowboarding
- A solid understanding of teaching fundamentals, safety standards, and skill progression in both skiing and snowboarding
- Previous experience teaching children or youth in a ski, snowboard, camp, or recreation setting
- Strong leadership, communication, and observation skills
- Ability to provide clear and constructive feedback to coaches
- Patient, approachable, and comfortable working with participants who need additional support
- Comfortable stepping into a coaching position when required
- Strong commitment to participant safety and quality instruction
- Ability to remain active outdoors throughout the program day

Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is an experienced ski or snowboard instructor who enjoys supporting other coaches and helping young participants succeed. They should be comfortable observing lessons, identifying areas for improvement, and providing respectful and practical feedback. The successful candidate does not need to hold certifications in both skiing and snowboarding. However, they must understand the fundamentals of both sports and be able to recognize safe and effective instruction across the entire program.

They must also be flexible and prepared to coach a group when needed based on weekly staffing requirements.
