Position Summary:

As a full-time seasonal Softgoods Sales Associate at our main location on highway 26, you'll help customers gear up for winter with the right outerwear, layers and accessories. You'll combine an eye for style with practical knowledge of what keeps people warm, dry and comfortable on the hill, so customers leave looking good and ready for the season.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Greet customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable service on the shop floor
- Assess customer needs, activities and budget to recommend the right outerwear, base layers, mid layers, gloves and mitts, hats and accessories
- Advise on sizing, fit and layering so customers stay warm, dry and comfortable in winter conditions
- Build product knowledge on current brands, fabrics, technologies and new arrivals, and share it clearly with customers
- Suggest complementary items to complete the customer's outfit and setup
- Process sales, returns, exchanges and gift cards accurately using the POS system
- Merchandise and maintain softgoods displays, racks and fixtures so they are clean, organized and fully sized
- Assist with floor sets,



seasonal transitions and visual merchandising updates
- Assist with receiving, tagging, pricing, replenishment and inventory counts
- Support store promotions, sales events and programs, and help meet team sales goals
- Work with the hardgoods and service teams to give customers a seamless, complete shopping experience
- Follow all health and safety, loss-prevention and cash-handling procedures, and assist with opening and closing duties as required
- Take on other retail duties as assigned

Qualifications:

- Previous retail sales experience, ideally in apparel, fashion or outdoor equipment, is an asset, but we're happy to train the right person
- Knowledge of, or interest in, outdoor and winter apparel, layering and technical fabrics
- Visual merchandising experience is an asset
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a friendly, consultative approach to selling
- Comfortable using a POS system and handling cash, debit and credit transactions
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Availability to work full-time hours for the full winter season, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50lbs
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
