The Special Education Resource Teacher for KiHS (Keewaytinook Internet High School) is required to perform a range of duties including but not limited to planning, developing, delivering and evaluating appropriate individualized educational services for students with special education needs.

Qualifications: · OCT qualified teacher
· University degree in Special Education or S.E.R.T. certified
· Experience in supporting a school special education program
· Experience in diagnosing and assessing learning disorders
· Proven effective classroom and student behavior management skills
· Knowledge of current special education practices and methodologies
· Knowledge and understanding of Provincial, local, and federal regulations and policies affecting special education
· Familiarity with Ministry of Education documents (e.g.,
Growing Success)
· Working knowledge of educational technology applications
· Strong technology skills
· Ability to travel extensively to remote fly-in First Nations throughout the school year
