Spray Technician (Painter)

What You'll Be Doing

Your work will include both kitchen cabinet refinishing and exterior projects throughout the Lower Mainland.

Responsibilities include

- Preparing kitchen cabinets, exterior surfaces, and other areas for refinishing
- Cleaning, degreasing, sanding, masking, and protecting surfaces before spraying
- Removing and reinstalling cabinet doors, drawer fronts, hardware, and other components
- Setting up spray areas, containment, ventilation, and equipment
- Applying coatings using professional, top-of-the-line spray equipment as your training progresses
- Learning Spray-Net spraying techniques and finishing processes
- Assisting experienced team members with more intricate spraying and finishing work
- Inspecting completed work and performing touch-ups where required
- Maintaining clean, organized, and professional job sites
- Cleaning and maintaining spray equipment, tools, and company equipment
- Loading and unloading tools and materials
- Working safely on ladders and around residential properties
- Helping ensure every project is completed to Spray-Net's quality standards

What Your First Few Weeks Could Look Like Your progression will depend on your previous experience and how quickly you pick up the Spray-Net process.

A typical first few weeks may look like:

Week 1: Meet the team, learn the Spray-Net process, complete on-site training, observe experienced technicians, and assist with preparation work

Week 2: Take on more hands-on preparation work while learning the details of our spraying process, equipment, coatings, and quality standards

Week 3: Begin exposure to spraying and practical hands-on training under supervision

Week 4 and beyond: Take on increasing independence with spraying, preparation, and job-site responsibilities as competency is demonstrated





Already have significant painting or spray experience?

Your progression may be considerably faster, with opportunities to take on additional responsibilities including quality control, training, job-site leadership, and Team Lead responsibilities.

- Has reliable transportation to reach job sites throughout the Lower Mainland
- Holds a valid driver's licence

Experience Previous painting, construction, or trade experience is an asset.

Ideally, candidates will have approximately 1-3 years of experience in painting or a related field, but we are willing to train the right person.

Experience in any of the following is a bonus:

- Residential painting
- Cabinet refinishing
- Spray painting
- Automotive or industrial finishing
- Carpentry or woodworking
- Renovation or construction
- Surface preparation and masking

Position Details

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Approximately $22.00-$30.00+ per hour, depending on relevant experience, spraying ability, demonstrated performance, and level of responsibility

Additional Pay: Performance-based bonus opportunities

Schedule: Primarily Monday to Friday, with occasional additional hours depending on project requirements

Work Location: On-site at customers' homes throughout the Vancouver Lower Mainland, including:
