Job Overview

We are a busy independent pharmacy located in Mississauga caring for our patients for over 30 years. Located inside a medical building near Trillium Hospital with numerous family physicians and specialists, you will have the chance to develop a good professional relationship with other healthcare professionals and patients.

We are looking for an energetic & motivated part time pharmacist (starting off with 1 day per week (Monday) – 10.5 hour shifts per day, will gradually increase your hours over time) that is committed to working for our pharmacy and is looking to grow into the role of become our full time designated manager in a few years.

Duties & Responsibilites

-Practice to full extent of expanded scope and professional services (Vaccinations, Medscheck, Minor Ailments, Pharmaceutical Opinions)

-Adhere to all federal and provincial laws and regulations

-Ensure accuracy and appropriateness of all prescriptions and monitor drug therapy for interactions contraindications

-Offer professional advice on prescription and over the counter products and medications

-Communicate clearly and respectfully with all staff, patients and other health care professionals within circle of care

-Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills





-Being proactive with the ability to problem solve and adapt to various situations

-Maintain and update all patient records and medication profiles required in accordance to legislation, standards of practice and policy

Experience & Requirements

-Licensed Part A pharmacist in good standing with OCP with at least one year of experience working as a pharmacist in Ontario

-Strong clinical knowledge & communication skills

-Injection certified is a plus

-Fluency in English and being multilingual is an asset

-Certificate in Opioid Use Disorder Course or other similar course (Can be obtained at a later date as this pharmacy dispenses methadone and suboxone)

-Computer proficiency and experience working with Nexxyss/PharmaClik/PropelRx is an asset

Pay: $42.00-$48.00 per hour
