Responsibilities

- Assist licensed opticians with patient consultations, frame fittings, and lens selections to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Support the preparation of eyewear by taking measurements, adjusting frames, and handling basic laboratory tasks.
- Engage with customers in retail sales by explaining product features, advantages, and guiding them through their purchase decisions.
- Maintain accurate records of patient information, prescriptions, and laboratory orders using electronic health record systems such as Epic.
- Educate customers on proper eyewear care and maintenance to promote long-term satisfaction.




- Uphold all safety standards and adhere to medical terminology protocols during patient interactions and laboratory procedures.
- Contribute to a welcoming store environment by providing friendly service and supporting team members as needed.

Requirements

- Currently enrolled in an optical or related healthcare program with a strong interest in eye care services.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology relevant to eye health and optical procedures.
- Previous laboratory experience or familiarity with optical equipment is highly desirable.
- Experience in retail sales or customer service roles, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of optical products, eyewear styles, and lens options to assist customers effectively.
- Familiarity with retail management systems or electronic health records such as Epic is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping and lab work.
