The New Brunswick SPCA is seeking a motivated and experienced leader to join our management team as Superintendent Animal Protection Services. This management role is responsible for supporting province-wide operations, employee development, occupational health and safety, training programs, resource management, and organizational compliance.

The Superintendent provides leadership and operational oversight while ensuring the continuity of Animal Protection Services throughout New Brunswick. This position will act on behalf of the Chief and Deputy Chief Animal Protection Officer when required and plays a key role in maintaining effective service delivery across the province.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide operational leadership and management support for Animal Protection Services.
- Support staffing, scheduling, resource allocation, and service delivery.
- Lead the NBSPCA Occupational Health and Safety Program.
- Coordinate employee onboarding, training, and professional development.
- Oversee uniforms, vehicles, enforcement equipment, and operational resources.
- Assist with recruitment, employee development, and succession planning.
- Ensure compliance with the Provincial Offences Procedure Act.
- Serve as a liaison with municipalities and community stakeholders.




- Support emergency response operations and major investigations.
- Act on behalf of senior leadership as required.

Qualifications

- Minimum five (5) years of experience in animal protection, law enforcement, regulatory enforcement, animal welfare, or a related field.
- Demonstrated supervisory, management, or leadership experience.
- Strong organizational, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation is an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and electronic records management systems.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check.
- English/French communication skills are required.
