Position Summary

Food Preparers provide food service support to students, staff and visitors in various locations across the Division.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

- Prepare a variety of hot and cold food items including baked goods.
- Set up and cleaning food preparation, dining and banquet areas.




- Maintain safety and sanitation standards.
- Operate cash register and point of sale terminal.
- Assist in the maintenance of inventory.
- Wash and store dishes, pots and cooking utensils in compliance with Health Safety guidelines.

Education/Qualifications

- diploma in Culinary Arts, Journeyperson Cook or Baker certification will be considered
- Food Safety Certification or equivalent, First Aid, WHMIS
- one year of food preparation experience
- excellent interpersonal, organization and communication skills
- ability to work flexible schedule

Rate of Pay $23.58 - $28.12 per hour
