Preschool Canada Pickering is looking for enthusiastic, caring and reliable Supply RECE/ECE team members to join our team!

Location: Pickering, Ontario

Hours: Vary depending on Centre needs and your availability

This is a great opportunity for someone looking for flexibility while becoming part of a supportive childcare team. Supply hours will vary, but there is potential for the position to lead to full-time employment as opportunities become available.

We’re looking for someone who:

- Is a RECE in positive standing /ECEA
- Has a genuine passion for working with children
- Is dependable, flexible and a team player
- Is comfortable working with different age groups
- Has a positive and professional approach
- Can provide availability between our Centre hours of 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
- Has a current Vulnerable Sector Check
- Has Standard First Aid/CPR Level C

Responsibilities

- Assist in the preparation and organization of classroom materials and supplies to ensure a stimulating learning environment.
- Support daily activities, routines, and educational programs tailored to children’s developmental stages.
- Collaborate with team members to implement individualized plans for children with special needs or disabilities.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents,



and team members to promote a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to children's progress, attendance, and incident reports using computer systems.
- Ensure health and safety protocols are followed diligently during all activities and transitions.
- Lead or support child-centered activities that foster social, emotional, and cognitive development.

Requirements

- Valid certification as a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) or equivalent qualification.
- Experience working with children in early childhood education settings, including classroom experience.
- Knowledge of childcare practices, special education strategies, and experience working with children with disabilities or developmental delays.
- Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—to effectively engage with children, families, and team members.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently across multiple tasks.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
