Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Construction Surveyor to support layout and surveying operations for foundation and concrete works. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring accuracy for footings, walls, anchor bolts, and structural elements.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform site layout and staking for:
- Footings, grade beams, and foundation walls
- Anchor bolts, embeds, and blockouts
- Read and interpret construction drawings, shop drawings, and survey plans
- Establish and maintain control points and benchmarks
- Operate surveying equipment such as:
- Total Station
- GPS (RTK) systems
- Laser levels
- Verify elevations, dimensions, and alignments before and during pours
- Coordinate with site supervisors, foremen, and engineers
- Maintain accurate survey reports and as-built records
- Ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards

Qualifications





- Minimum 2–5 years experience in construction surveying (ICI preferred)
- Strong understanding of concrete and formwork layout
- Proficient with Total Station & survey software (Trimble, Leica, or Topcon)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and structural drawings
- Knowledge of Ontario construction practices and site conditions
- Valid G Driver’s License
- Robust attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Assets (Preferred)

- Experience in foundation and formwork surveying
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or Civil 3D
- Experience with robotic total stations
- Working at Heights certification
