Duties

- Prepare and assemble sushi dishes with precision, ensuring consistency and presentation excellence
- Handle raw fish and other ingredients safely, adhering to strict food safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station and kitchen area
- Follow recipes and portion controls to deliver high-quality meals efficiently
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as slicing fish, preparing rice, and garnishing plates
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs for restocking




- Support the overall food service process by collaborating with servers and kitchen staff to deliver timely service

Qualifications

- Proven experience in food preparation, especially in sushi making or Japanese cuisine
- Strong knowledge of food handling safety practices and sanitation standards
- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent skills in serving customers with professionalism and enthusiasm
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of meal preparation techniques specific to sushi and related dishes
- Passion for the food industry with a commitment to quality and safety standards
