Job Summary

Tax Partners is a full-service accounting firm offering accounting, tax, and consulting services to individuals, not-for-profit organizations, and private companies. The firm has specialized experience in income tax return preparation, estate planning and final returns, business purchases and sales, and international taxation, and works with clients across a range of industries, from construction and retail to high technology.

Job Details:

The successful candidate will focus primarily on income tax returns for high-net-worth individuals. You will build strong client relationships through a clear understanding of their businesses and the challenges they face. About 90% of the role involves preparing personal income tax returns, meeting clients in person to complete their filings, and providing consulting as needed.

Responsibilities:

- Experience in small to mid-sized public accounting firms
- 90% personal tax preparation focused and 10% consulting.
- Knowledge of Profile T1, T3, T4/T5, T5013, T776, T777, T2125
- Preparation of T4 and T5 summary and supplements
- Knowledge of WSIB and other provincial workers' insurance boards
- Knowledge of basic payroll required
- Ability to create tax plans for owner manager business owners
- Preparing all GST/HST and other provincial sales tax returns
- Monthly bookkeeping




- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage several projects with similar deadlines
- Effective communication with our clients, with government agencies and with our partners and staff

Qualifications / Requirements:

- 3+ years in public accounting practice.
- Completed or enrolled in or willingness to enroll in CPA designation.
- Experience using Intuit Profile is desirable.
- Experience with MS Office products, QuickBooks, Simply Accounting.
- Demonstrate well-developed analytical and research skills, together with attention to detail.
- Be committed to providing exceptional client service.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Superior communication skills (both verbally and written).
- Well-organized and able to balance competing demands.
- Professional self-confidence.
