Assignment:

- Part-time 0.74 FTE temporary replacement teaching position

- Seeking a dynamic and passionate junior high teacher to join the IRJC team

- Courseload to include: Grade 7-8 Science, Health, and two CTF option classes

- Duties to commence as soon as possible and will continue until November 1, 2026, with the possibility of extension

Qualifications:

- Experience and confidence teaching core subject areas as listed above, would be considered an asset

- Demonstrate strong instructional practices across core subject areas

- Build positive and supportive relationships

- Strong interpersonal skills

- Experience teaching in junior high would be considered an asset

- Willingness to work in a team-oriented learning environment

Assessment literate

- Ability to use diverse instructional strategies to meet a wide range of individual needs

- Strong technology and 21st Century Learning Skills

- Strong planning and organizational skills

- Effective classroom management skills

- Commitment to ongoing professional growth
