The Forest Courtyard Initiative, an alternative private day school, focused on creating a beautiful, and holistic space for education, is in search of a grade 3-7 teacher.

We hope to find someone who will meet children with a calm authentic love that offers a healthy space for growth in these beautiful childhood years.

Waldorf Trained mentors in office to train the right candidate in Waldorf Education. Waldorf training may be available through the Steiner Center. Ongoing mentoring and support under our seasoned, loving Waldorf lead teacher is provided.

Position Requirements:

- Experience in a Waldorf classroom is an asset
- Able to attend Waldorf training in July for 2 weeks
- Skills: Farm, forest, handwork (knitting, crochet an asset), Music, gardening, swimming (an asset)
- Patient, calm and loving demeanor
- Able to hold a strong,



detailed and consistent rhythm to support healthy development for our lower school children
- A spiritual seeker of cosmic love and inner growth in this earthly place!
- Experience with farm animals (hens, sheep, donkey)
- Hiking experience a must
- Classroom management experience a must (with children ages 6-11)
- Able to lift 60lb and lead farm work such as mucking stalls, moving hay/straw bales
- Walk min. Of two km per day for forest hikes
- Start fires
- Lover of dancing, singing, bringing joy- Alternative, holistic, spiritual focused
- Strong, and connected classroom management skills
- Very organized
