About Mobiltex
Mobiltex is an IIoT and software company delivering remote monitoring and software solutions that help maintain pipeline health for industries delivering critical services. Individual solutions target corrosion prevention, gas pressure management, and water network optimization, primarily serving midstream and downstream energy operators, and water utilities.
Mobiltex is a high-growth company in an active phase of product and organizational scaling, with potential for M&A;, as well as a growing international footprint. This is an environment that rewards people who can build structure where it doesn’t yet exist, and drive commercial output as the organization scales.
Role Summary The Technical Content Creator owns all content creation for Mobiltex — the knowledge base, technical documentation, multimedia assets, and product update content. The role sits within Customer Success and is focused on helping customers quickly get value from Mobiltex products through self-serve knowledge and education content alongside live support services. You care about metrics like time to value, publishing cadence, deflection, customer satisfaction, and quality.
This is not a traditional writing role. You'll leverage AI tools and cross-functional inputs to produce, manage, and distribute content across multiple formats and channels. Strong writing instincts matter for quality, but the primary skill set is systems thinking, workflow design, and technical fluency; architecting a repeatable content workflow matters more than writing the perfect sentence.
The role reports to the Director, Customer Success, and partners with Product, Software and Hardware Engineering, Marketing, Support, Sales, and Trainers, who use your source content during sales, training and support, and grow self-serve content according to standards you set.
Core Responsibilities
Content Management
- Own the Mobiltex knowledge base as a system: content calendar, publishing cadence, content creation, quality, and coverage across all product lines.
- Build AI prompt frameworks and editorial workflows with SME peer review to enforce a consistent publishing process and produce accurate content efficiently at volume.
- Enable version governance to ensure articles are current, accurate, and structured for self-serve consumption. Outdated or incomplete articles are a service failure.
- Monitor utilization to prioritize new content and retire outdated content.
- Own tooling recommendations and decisions that highlight user experience standards. Future state may include establishing a Learning Management System (LMS).
- Maintain a library of product documentation across hardware and software lines, including CorInsights, FloPath, FloInsights, CorTalk, Osprey, and future product lines.
- With direction from engineering, monitor hardware and software changes during Engineering release phases, and create or update content to match what has shipped. Engineering sets release cadence and technical content; this role handles the content response.
- Handle technical content in accordance with customer confidentiality and data-handling requirements, including internal standards for processing content through AI tools.
Multimedia Content Production
- Build a library of evergreen "how it works" content — short product overview videos, walkthroughs, and visual guides that stay accurate across releases — so customers can learn independently and onboarding and support conversations start further ahead.
- This role will leverage AI and evolving education tools to create AI-assisted workflows that transform inputs from Engineering and Product into polished, customer-ready content.
- Manage the production process for multimedia assets, including scripting, coordination with internal or external production resources, and final publishing.
- Content is produced in English only, though this may expand to include translations.
Training and Product Content
- Build training content that goes beyond passive reading: include active engagement activities, knowledge checks, and scenario-based learning.
- Repurpose existing materials and technical documents into training-ready formats.
- Partner with Product and Engineering who provide approved content that is ready to be transformed into customer-facing content (e.g., technical content for product updates, new feature releases, and roadmap milestones). Product and Engineering remain the source of truth for Mobiltex's safety-critical hardware and software functionality.
- Maintain a release content calendar aligned to the product roadmap to ensure new content is ready when features ship.
Qualifications
Skills and Experience
- 3 to 5 years' experience in a content, knowledge management, technical education, or related role creating multimedia content using tools for video scripting and editing and instructional design (e.g., Adobe Design Suite, Canva, Camtasia, ElevenLabs,
Articulate Rise)
- A bachelor's degree or diploma in a related field is an asset; equivalent experience is valued equally
- Demonstrated experience building or operating a content system — you build repeatable processes and make decisions, not just individual pieces of content
- Experience working with AI writing and content tools; comfort developing prompting workflows and cross-functional editorial review processes (e.g., Claude, Copilot)
- Competent writer. You recognize quality, but writing is not your primary tool
- Organized and self-directed. This role requires managing multiple content streams simultaneously without close supervision
- Experience with knowledge base platforms or LMS tools (e.g., Salesforce, Docebo, Acorn) and a background in B2B SaaS, technical products, or industrial/IoT environments are assets
- Experience in electronics, corrosion, hardware or software support, or training is an asset
- Minimal travel required (10% or less) for team meetings and other industry events on an as-needed basis.
